No longer strangers πŸ˜

We all began as strangers to one another – all floating around in this Blogosphere. Β We all share our hopes and dreams, our worries and anxieties and hopefully share some fun and laughter – and yet, we all began as strangers ……….

I’ve not been here that long compared to some, a mere baby of 7 months 😊 but during that time I feel I’ve found friendship and support and I hope I’ve given that back in return.

This post occurred to me when I realised earlier today that I had missed a few folk who I regularly communicate with. Β I actually found myself worrying whether all was well with them. Β I found that I genuinely cared whether they were ok. Β It suddenly occurred to me that although I had no idea of their full names, where they lived, I actually feel like I “know” these people and, like a friend, I genuinely cared about their well being.

No longer strangers but friends. Β Friends who live many many miles away, from all walks of life, with different outlooks, beliefs and opinions – but nonetheless – friends ❀️

So to all my friends floating around – thank you for enriching my life and making WordPress a lovely place to be πŸ˜€ Β Have a lovely weekend, wherever you are, whatever you’re getting up to! 😘

And now that we’ve straightened that out and we are all buddies – can someone lend me a fiver till pay day! 😜😜😜😜

      1. Aww that’s so sweet! It’s a BEAUTIFUL spring day so a trip into Seoul is needed. Look out for pictures tomorrow while I’m forced inside by the promised rain πŸ˜‰

  1. If I could lend you the fiver I would and so would just about any other blogger. I completely agree with you about the blogging community. You’d be hard pressed to find a nicer group of people anywhere else. I’ve been blogging for 11 years and there are several people who have gone from being blog friends to real friends. I hope you continue to enjoy this wonderful community for many years.

  2. You’re right, we are joined by our passion for the words that make it possible to express ourselves. We appreciate each unique voice and sets of experiences. Thank you for the heartfelt post!

  3. I feel the same way…so grateful! I’ve already learned that people come and go, and yes, it’s hard not to wonder about them! As for me, I have a hard enough time remember everyone, but such a lovely journey. πŸ™‚

    1. I still have not a clue what I’m doing 😁 tagging stuff all over the place, no idea what a widget thing is or does 😁 it’s actually a bloody miracle anyone finds my posts πŸ˜„

Only thing I would say is enjoy – it’s fun! X

  4. What lovely sentiments! I must say that reading your posts about daily life and the giggles that go with bring me a smile on days when I’m not feeling so well. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! xoxo

  5. Your blogs certainly make my day. I have noticed some bloggers are saying when they will be off our radar, and I think it is a really good idea. On another tack I went to the website of a blogger whose posts I really enjoyed, and she had cleared it, only the template was left. I hope she is alright. But please keep on with your blog, it is brilliant !

  6. Of course, they are all okay. They just got busy or moved on to other things that interest them more. Stop worrying yourself sick. I can lend you a fiver, no problem. Just sponsor my trip and stay and we’re sorted. πŸ˜› πŸ˜€

  7. Yes Lisa, it definitely makes you worrisome when someone doesn’t show up for long. Let’s just wish they are doing great. πŸ™‚

  8. Friendships form in all sorts of ways. I’ve been friends with a blogger for over 10 years and still have never met him and yet I care about him and his partner, who I am also friends with a lot.

      1. Which blog are you trying to reach? A Geek’s Eye View or A Geek Keeps Learning? And I don’t understand this “empty” thing… *big eyes* Is something wrong and I don’t know it?

      2. I’m not sure – I clicked on your name and it came up with “unable to retrieve posts – blog empty”

Can anyone try it – it may be just me on my phone? X

  9. I feel exactly the same way. I started blogging a year ago in January and have developed blogging friends along the way. Even my husband knows certain blogging friends, because I will be reading a blog, and playing the music inserted into the blog and my husband will say “is that your friend from Wales”, or if I find something super funny and I am chortling away, he will say “Are you reading your “Worried Mom” blog”?
I do worry about people when I don’t see them post after a certain amount of time, so I go visit them to make sure everything is okay. But I figure maybe they are erratic posters like me and have periods of nothing to say.

      1. Unfortunately not 😨 I’m having surgery on my wrist, carpal tunnel syndrome, so will be bandaged up and inactive for two weeks unable to type 😭😭😭 I shall however be lurking around stalking posts and such like πŸ˜„

  10. What a lovely post! Thank you for writing it. It says so much of what I often think when reading and writing. I’ll lend you the money but the US dollar isn’t worth quite as much as the pound. So, i’m not much help. πŸ™‚ β™‘OX
